Depends on if you went "love route" or "slave route".
If you just kissed her then no, but there will be exclusive content for her later down the road (allegedly).

If you were mean to her in anyway you can just fight her again and bring her back via the Telescope.

If it forces you to throw it away without an option to take it. then try doing some other quests first. probably beastgirl's.
You are probably missing some prereq quest
